Tips For Taking Your New Puppy Home

You're now a proud owner of an OC Golden and your probably thinking, how and what do I do now?

Here are some great tips:

  • The first couple weeks may be tough to adjust to a new home and enviorment. To help cope with this transion we recomend getting a Snuggle Puppy Heartbeat Stuffed Toy Anxiety Relief and Calming Aid this will help with your puppy sleeping at night.
  • Potty training your new fur baby is easy, if you put the time into it. Your puppy needs to be taken out before and after every nap, every meal and also after play time is over. Consistancy is the key for puppy potty traing success. Don't forget to praise and reward them.
  • If you discover your puppy has chewed something they shouldn’t have after the fact, don’t scold them. The puppy won’t understand why you’re upset. If you do catch him/her in the act, give them a firm “No,” and redirect him/her with a toy or game.
  • Leash training can begin as soon as your puppy comes home by taking him for short walks around your yard or wherever you have space even in the house. Avoid socializing with other dogs in public places until he/she are fully vaccinated.

What We Recomend

You got you're new family member and I bet you want to take your new puppy everywhere but before you do, I would think about it.

Feeding Instructions:
We recommend that you keep your puppy on Fromm Gold Large Breed Puppy Food (to 12 months of age) Transition into Fromm Gold Large Breed Adult Green Bag at one year of age. The exact  amount of food your dog requires will need to be adjusted according to  age, activity and environment. But a good place to start is with these  guidelines for an average, active, adult dog fed once daily.

  • 6 to 11 Weeks Old.      1 3/4 to 3 Cup Per Day.
  • 3 to 4 Months Old.      3 to 4 1/4 Cups Per Day.
  • 5 to 7 Months Old.      3 2/3 to 4 1/3 Cups Per Day.
  • 8 to 11 Months Old.     3 1/2 to 4 1/4Cups Per Day.

We Recomend

  • We recomend you having all your puppy vaccines before taking your new puppy out into the world. That means their 9 week, 12 week and 15 week vaccine shots must be completed also with a rabbies vaccine.
